Wend: the word path puzzle with unlimited levels

Wend is a word puzzle built on paths. Each level is a small grid of letters with a few gray walls. Hidden in the grid are a handful of words, and every word is a path of touching cells: up, down, left or right, never diagonal. Find them all and the paths cover the whole board, with no letter left over.

A row of slots tells you how many words there are and how long each one is. Some words also show a ring on their first letter. The rest is reading the grid, trying a path and backing out when it goes nowhere.

Wend does not ship a fixed pack of puzzles. Every level is built on your device from a real dictionary, so there is always another one, and the same level number gives every player the same board in the same word language.

• Levels 1–8: 5×5 grids with words of four to six letters.
• Levels 9–15: a sixth row and more walls.
• Levels 16–30: 6×6 grids and words of up to seven letters.
• Level 31 onwards: 6×6 grids where every word has five to eight letters.

Early boards mark where most words begin. As you climb, fewer starts are marked, until only about one word in five shows its first letter and the rest are up to you.

Wend's word lists cover 42 languages, including English with US or UK spelling, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Dutch, Polish, Turkish, Russian, Ukrainian, Azerbaijani, Indonesian and Vietnamese. You can switch the word language from the game screen at any time. The menus themselves are available in 15 languages.

Hint marks where the shortest unfinished word begins. Solve Word goes further and fills in one whole word. Both come with free uses, and a short ad unlocks more when those run out.

Solved levels earn points on the This Week leaderboard, and harder levels are worth more. The All Time board ranks players by the highest level they have reached. Badges mark level milestones, and a daily streak rewards you for coming back.
